Prospect Community Development Corporation is keenly interested in improving police relations in Oklahoma City which will ultimately reduce crime and reduce unfair treatment of citizens of color. They aim to promote more community respect of the police force and more police respect and sensitivity by police with the Black and Brown community. They desire to be a catalyst to attract more BIPOC citizens to a career in law enforcement, including increasing the number of black/brown citizens that take advantage of the police cadet program with Career Tech (formerly Metro Tech). They envision a climate where police honor their charge to protect ‘all’ Oklahoma City citizens and to police fairly and equitably.
