Mary Beth Buchanan, J.D.
Program Associate, Youth Welfare & Justice
Mary Beth Buchanan joined the Arnall Family Foundation in 2022 with nearly a decade of experience in investigating systems and working to close service gaps impacting under-resourced communities. As a program associate for Youth Welfare and Justice, Mary Beth uses her unique expertise and penchant for navigating complicated systems to support our partners and collaborate across teams, finding innovative ways to achieve the Foundation’s strategic goals.
Prior to her role at the Foundation, she worked as a staff attorney at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, after serving as an attorney and case manager at Oklahoma Indian Legal Services. Mary Beth has a passion for supporting indigenous communities and has held many roles dedicated to this throughout her career and while completing her education.
Mary Beth holds a Juris Doctorate degree and a certificate in American Indian Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Oklahoma. Mary Beth enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and their miniature schnauzer, Rooney.
