Since 1946, the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City (ULOKC) has been the African American community's premier social service agency and subject-matter expert, providing affordable housing, minority business support, workforce development, employment, and education services. The agency's mission is to assist people in leaving poverty and developing social and personal assets to achieve successful social mobility. Each year, the ULOKC hosts Equal Opportunity Day, which provides a discussion among corporate and civic leaders about the challenges of achieving equality while honoring equal-opportunity advocates.
