Peace City is a community-based nonprofit organization which operates a Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Program in the Eastern, Northern, and Western regions of the Oklahoma City metro area. CVI programming employs evidence-informed strategies to reduce violence. These multidisciplinary strategies engage individuals and groups to disrupt and prevent cycles of violence and retaliation and establish relationships between individuals and community resources to deliver services that save lives, address trauma, provide opportunity, and improve the physical, social, and economic conditions that drive violence. The organization includes three teams of three violence intervention outreach specialists ("PeaceMakers"), each team responsible for one geographic area, respectively, and led by a "Lead PeaceMaker."
