The Program Associate, Criminal Justice Reform (CJR) will focus on supporting the execution of the Foundation’s Criminal Justice Reform strategy. This position reports to the Criminal Justice Reform Program Officer and works closely with the Foundation team. Responsibilities:

– Understand, develop, and refine grant strategies regarding the Foundation’s engagement in Criminal Justice Reform.
– Work closely with current partners, develop new partnerships, and identify potential partners related to Criminal Justice Reform.
– Conduct site visits for current and potential grantees.
– Oversee the implementation of grants, projects, data, and outcomes related to criminal justice initiatives.
– Provide support on grant applications and processes.
– Convene partners and attend community meetings relevant to Criminal Justice Reform on behalf of the Foundation.
– Identify and track data trends related to strategic criminal justice goals.
– Facilitate public education and provide thought leadership around criminal justice reform issues.
– Work collaboratively with community stakeholders, partners, and service providers to support justice-involved individuals.
– Make recommendations to decision-makers on grant funding and criminal justice reform strategies.
– Input grant data in a timely fashion.
– Assist applicants and grantees throughout the grantmaking process.
-Assist in reviewing and evaluating grant applications.
– Work with other Foundation team members to provide the best possible experience during the grantmaking process.
– Support the Foundation’s commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in criminal justice reform efforts.
– Support other initiatives of the Foundation, as requested.

Requirements

– A bachelor’s degree.
– A working knowledge of the criminal justice system and reform efforts, particularly in Oklahoma.
– A minimum of two years’ experience in nonprofit development, community collaboration, or public/private partnerships.
– Experience with grantmaking preferred.
– A commitment to the Foundation’s mission.
– A proven track record developing community partnerships and building effective collaborations.
– Ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects while maintaining a perspective on long-term goals.
– Self-motivated professional with drive and experience working in a professional work environment.
– Experience collaborating with a diverse staff.
– Independence and self-confidence to act decisively and, at the same time, an ability to receive, integrate, and translate others’ ideas and suggestions.
– A hardworking, positive, mission-driven, and extroverted work style.
– A welcome attitude toward constructive criticism of his/her work.
– Analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
