United Way of Central Oklahoma (UWCO) brings together community partners, organizations, businesses, and individuals to provide financial assistance and support to 137 health and human service programs administered by 68 partner agencies in central Oklahoma. Funds raised each year through the annual campaign are used to address our community’s most critical needs. Through its community research, UWCO identifies emerging needs in Central Oklahoma to educate the public and collaborate with community partners on solutions. The organization also uses this information to determine its strategic initiatives, each of which relate to UWCO’s five focus areas: Strong Families, Successful Kids, Healthy Citizens, Independent Living and Community Preparedness. The annual campaign is an essential fundraising effort to support nonprofit partner agencies that provide vital health and human services programs. By pooling resources from individuals, businesses and organizations, the annual campaign provides a unified approach to tackling our community's most challenging issues like education, health, income stability and basic needs.
