Beyond the Court: Elevating Youth, Strengthening Community

Citizens for Juvenile Justice

Award Date: May 15, 2025
Awarded: $72,838.42

Citizens for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) is a non-profit citizens advisory committee established to aid in the more effective administration of the law relating to youth. CJJ provides counsel, advice, and assistance to the Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau (OCJB) for the purpose of enhancing services to at-risk youth, in part by applying for grants to help fund projects and programs that will benefit the community and the cause of juvenile justice. The OCJB is a juvenile justice agency dedicated to supporting the juvenile court and serving at-risk youth through comprehensive services. OCJB provides intake and diversion, probation supervision, case management, and secure detention. This grant will be used to construct a basketball court that will serve as a vital recreational and engagement space for youth housed in the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center, those participating in probation and diversion programs, and the broader community.

The Arnall Community Funds are administered through Oklahoma City Community Foundation (OCCF) and provide grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Oklahoma that are working to improve outcomes for individuals, children and families involved with animal welfare and in the child welfare and criminal justice systems. The OCCF staff manages the grant administration process and all grantmaking decisions are made by OCCF Trustees.
