Award Date: September 30, 2024
Awarded: $465,000

Through its five programs: the Pretrial Release Initiative, Oklahoma County Community Sentencing, Reentry Services, the Veterans Initiative, and Batterers Intervention Program, TEEM seeks to provide access to needed resources and serve as a support network for participants as they address and overcome barriers. Oklahoma has among the highest incarceration rates in the nation, and those who have been impacted by the system frequently face significant barriers that can impede their ability to successfully reenter society with obstacles in employment, transportation, housing, education, social services, fees and fines, and more. Those who have been impacted by the criminal legal system are valued community members who make contributions and strengthen our community. TEEM seeks to provide the necessary support for participants to overcome challenges, establish self-sufficiency, and break generational cycles of involvement in the criminal legal system.
