The OK Justice Circle is a group of faith and community leaders focused on restorative criminal justice reform in Oklahoma. The Breaking Bread events are designed to be minority-led and to have at least half of those in attendance represent minority communities. The goals of the Breaking Bread series are to increase community awareness of the lived experiences of racial and ethnic minorities in Oklahoma City area; increase community awareness of racial disparities in the criminal legal system; increase community involvement in activities that improve the conditions in the Oklahoma County Detention Center; and enhance community and police partnerships.
