Hunger Free Oklahoma

Award Date: February 10, 2025
Awarded: $250,000

Hunger Free Oklahoma is a statewide nonprofit established to leverage the power of collaboration to solve hunger in Oklahoma by improving systems, policies, and practices, facilitating public/private partnerships and collecting and amplifying best practices. Summer EBT is a new federal program designed to reduce child hunger and improve diet quality by providing grocery benefits to low-income families with school-aged children during the summer. With this funding, Hunger Free Oklahoma will support the 2025 Summer EBT program in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties, pending USDA approval of the Chickasaw Nation's expansion proposal. This one-time funding will go towards administrative costs, unlocking the required federal dollar-for-dollar match.
