Who We Support
Traffic and Arrest Research
Oklahoma Policy advances equitable and fiscally responsible policies that expand opportunity for all Oklahomans through non-partisan research, analysis, and advocacy. Research on stops and arrests by law enforcement agencies across the country has revealed an important dynamic: despite a high volume of stops and arrests, much of what the police do daily has little impact on activities that pose a threat to public safety. Drawing upon its extensive experience with justice data, OK Policy can produce the research that guides the county toward a more purposeful and less volatile system of law enforcement, starting with existing public Oklahoma City Police Department data and moving into more recent data requested from OKCPD and other agencies in Oklahoma County.
